Six Trig Functions
This website contains an applet that allows you to change the angle along the unit circle and it will calculate the sin, tan, cos, sec, cosec, and cotan. I would use this applet in a discovery activity. I would have students find which quadrants each are positive and negative in and why using the trigonometric ratios. I would use guided questions to help the students find each. This could be used as a set to the lesson.

Students would benefit from this becasue they are actually conjecturing and taking ownership of their own learning. After we have discovered the positive and negative quadrants for each trigonmetric ratio, then i would give students the common acronym to memorize the quadrants (CAST: C= Cosine is positive , A= All trigonometric ratios are positive , S= Sin is positive, T = Tangent is positive)
