Cells Alive - Mitosis

Cells alive is a website tha contains interactive diagrams, activities, and processes. This is an excellent site that is a good resource for biology teachers.

I would use this site in Biology 30 as a demonstration of the two processes of Mitosis and Meiosis. I would have the students compare and contrast the two processes by viewing the interactive demonstration. The website allows you to stop and view more details about each stage this will allow the students to read more indepth about each stage in order to compare.
Another benefit for the students is the fact that it is on the web will allow the students to use the interactive applet to study from.

This adds more realism to the two processes allowing more learning to occur.
Here is an example of photos of each stage in each process. The applet allows the students to view how we get from one stage to the next.
