Math 9 Geometry

Subject:Math 9
Unit: Geometry/Measurement
Topic: Angles, Lines and Line Segments
Objectives:
Evergreen Curriculum

This website is an interactive discovery activity that using questions, protractor and angles as a way for students to deduct their own conjectures about specific angles.
I would use this website as an introduction activity or set to my first lesson on the unit Geometry/Measurement in the Math 9 curriculum. The website provides 20 activities. Students should be able to discovery the relationships found in each activity and will be able to deduct their own theorems through pattern recognition. The activities help students conjecture theorems such as:
- Vertically opposite angles are equal
-All angles in a triangle ass up to 180 degrees
- All angles in a rectangle add up to 360 degrees
- Corresponding interior angles are equal
- Alternate interior angles are equal
- Angle of a straight line is 180 degrees
